We must seek to master a perfect balance in order to see the light of truth rather than an unbalanced state of darkness. It is the balance of chemical energies that make up our very beings.

The owl is an animal spirit guide offering insight about a moment of personal transition, to uncover hidden potential and abilities. A strong intuition can access information and wisdom that’s usually hidden to most. Since the owl is able to see in the dark it provides the light to guide a young boy through his journey into the cave.

The strength of the elephant is tremendous. No other animal on land can match the strength of the elephant. It knows its own strength, and confidently strides across the plains aware of its power. It also uses wisdom, as it is very intelligent, and thinks things through to all of its conclusions. The symbolism of the elephant will be a reminder to the boy what the importance of life is about and give him the desire to pursue it. Its own memory is one of its special gifts, as it can remember the imagery of places, events, and other creatures, and know whether someone or something is friend or foe.

The lion spirit animal represents courage, strength in overcoming difficulties. It works as a reminder that whatever is bothering you in your waking life needs to come out in the open to be dealt with. The shadow self is a part of yourself that you prefer to keep “in the shadow” or the dark. Starting to acknowledge parts of your “shadow self”, looking at them, perhaps understanding what they are about, what they are connected with, you can start bringing a better understanding of yourself.

The basillisik is a known shape shifter that can split stone and kill anything living with its breath and its gaze can kill any thing exept weasels they are sometimes called cockrice and are the king of all serpents and all serpents will move out of its way in a fearful respect of their king. It is almost always an icon of fear. In alchemical writings the basilisk played many roles. Sometimes it would fall into the realm of the fabulous salamander where it would be used to symbolize the destructive fire that preceded the transmutation of metals. In other works, the elixir, or Philosopher’s Stone, a potent and mysterious catalyst that was said to turn whatever it touched to gold, cure all ills, and confer eternal life was called the basilisk or cockatrice.

The Unicorn is illusion. The Unicorn uses illusion to offer a choice to those who desire to shed the old, and embrace a new world where fear itself, becomes the illusion . Combining its wisdom and its powers, it is capable of infinite possibilities, and knows no boundaries. The Unicorn can break the boundaries of any barrier in your life. Unicorn can transform into a symbolic representation any other creature, or even humans, because it is the master of “transformation”, for the purpose of teaching the breaking of limitations.
